 Metallica To Offer Coffin Box Metallica recently announced the plethora of different ways (CD, digital, vinyl) for fans to get their latest album, Death Magnetic, when it comes out this September.
Yesterday, they announced one other way to get the record... in a coffin. The band has now confirmed a special collector?s edition package for the disc, which comes in a coffin box. Along with Death Magnetic, the set also includes a CD with demos of the songs, a making-of-the-album DVD, an exclusive T-shirt, a flag, guitar picks, a poster and a collector?s credit card embossed with a code to redeem a free download of a special European show happening in September.
The band is still finishing up the artwork for the special package and will post pictures once they are done.
The coffin box will only be available at the group?s official Web sites: Metallica.com and MissionMetallica.com.
3 Doors Down Open HR Derby Major League Baseball will play its All-Star Game on Tuesday, but as tradition has it, the biggest sluggers meet the night before for the Home Run Derby. And this year, 3 Doors Down will open for those sultans of swat.
The group will play two songs, their current hit, ?It?s Not My Time? and the one that started it all, ?Kryptonite?.
The Home Run Derby airs Monday at 8PM Eastern on ESPN.

Coldplay/Radiohead Vinyl Re-Issue Radiohead and Coldplay are soon to head back in time. That?s because on August 19th, Capitol/EMI are going to re-issue albums from both bands on vinyl.
Ok Computer, Kid A, Amnesiac and Hail to the Thief will be hitting stores on the Radiohead side, while Parachutes and A Rush of Blood to the Head will be released from Coldplay.
These two artists are some of the first to be featured in a new campaign from the record company called From the Capitol Vaults. The campaign is set to release future albums on high quality vinyl using the original artwork and packaging.
A Perfect Circle?s Mer de Noms and Steve Miller Band Greatest Hits 1974 - 78 are also set to be release on August 19th.
